No Personal Information collected by SMC Laboratories, Inc. in respect of the customer will be disclosed to third parties unless the customer’s prior consent is obtained.
However, SMC Laboratories, Inc. may disclose Personal Information collected from customers to third parties where such disclosure is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations.
Shared Use of Personal Information
SMC Laboratories, Inc. and its subsidiaries may share and use the customers’ Personal Information within the scope of the “Purpose of Use of Personal Information“ above. With regard to the handling of the customers’ Personal Information, the aforementioned companies that share and use the customers’ Personal Information have implemented measures that are equivalent to or more stringent than those implemented by SMC Laboratories, Inc. Of all such Personal Information to be shared for use, SMC Laboratories, Inc. shall be responsible for the management of Personal Information of the customers located in Japan.
Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc., of Personal Information
With regard to the customers’ Personal Information, when the subject customer makes a request for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or removal of items of such Personal Information, suspension of use, deletion, or suspension of provision to third parties, SMC Laboratories, Inc. shall, upon verifying the subject customer’s identification, accommodate such request in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
