Introduction of chronic kidney disease mice models
I am writing you today to share some information on our Chronic kidney disease (CKD) models.
CKD is a condition that is characterized by abnormalities in the structure or function of the kidneys. It is a global public health problem and causes a rising incidence and prevalence of kidney failure with poor outcomes. However, there are no treatments that completely cure CKD presently, with current therapy options only suppressing disease progression.
Here at SMC, we provide drug efficacy study services using CKD model mice to help you with your drug discovery project. We take pride in offering 4 types of CKD models to perform studies tailored to the needs of our clients and the mode of action of the test substance.
- Adenine-induced model: Tubular and interstitial assessment
- Adriamycin-induced model: Glomerular assessment
- UUO-induced model: Evaluation of renal fibrosis
- Folic acid-induced model: Evaluation of CKD from acute kidney injury
We are always happy to tailor each study to fit the requirements and needs of the client. We would be honored to use our many years of experience, as well as our expertise in the areas of inflammation and fibrosis, to assist you with your study.
