Case study: Study published in Periodontitis promotes hepatocellular carcinoma Stelic Animal model mice.
We introduce a case study of basic research using our MASH model (STAM™ model).
It has been reported that periodontal disease may aggravate hepatocellular carcinoma, but the detailed mechanism behind this was unknown. To clarify the relationship between periodontal disease and hepatocellular carcinoma, the authors induced periodontitis in STAM™ mice and examined how it affected the onset of hepatocellular carcinoma.
As a result, they elucidated that periodontitis promotes the onset of hepatocellular carcinoma and the mechanism behind it, which they reported in Scientific Reports.

STAM™ mice are a disease model that can be used for pharmacology study as well as basic research such as this one. If you are considering using them in basic research, please contact us.
